Lakeville is located 40 minutes south of the Twin Cities within Dakota County. A quickly expanding city, the City’s 2010 recorded population was over 55,000 people. Highway 35E runs through Lakeville and the junction between 35E and 35W is nearby providing easy access to both Minneapolis and St. Paul. A large portion of the Lakeville population is under 18 years old, making it an ideal place for families to get to know and grow together. Lakeville offers an assortment of school choices with 3 separate school districts.

To some, Lakeville is considered the Southern Gateway to the Twin Cities.
